The wave of energy revolution is surging for a new chapter of green travel! Recently, the first batch of 500 hydrogen-powered two-wheeled vehicles in Hubei Province were officially put into operation. These vehicles are equipped with the Kirin series II solid-state hydrogen storage valve independently developed and produced by Hanhydrogen, a Shenkai-invested enterprise. It only takes 30s to complete hydrogen exchange, with an endurance mileage of up to 90km, truly solving the difficulty in endurance mileage. It will be expanded to 3000 vehicles in the future! This is not only a milestone in the field of hydrogen transportation, but also means that there is an accelerating era of “zero-carbon travel” for ordinary people.

Under the dual benefits of national and local policies, the hydrogen-powered two wheeler industry has entered a golden period of development. There are clear tasks in the “open competition mechanism for selecting the best candidates to lead research projects” of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: achieve a scale of 100,000 hydrogen fuel cell two-wheeled vehicles by 2026 and reduce the cost of hydrogen storage and fuel cell systems.  Jiangsu Province has released the industry technical specifications of the “General Technical Requirements for Hydrogen-powered Bicycles”, and Guangdong Foshan, Guangxi, Beijing, Sichuan Dazhou, etc. have also introduced policies to encourage the demonstration and application of hydrogen-powered two-wheeled vehicles to provide support for industrial development.

There are currently 350 million electric two-wheeled vehicles in China, and if the penetration rate of hydrogen vehicles reaches 1%, the market size of solid-state hydrogen storage valves will exceed 5 billion yuan. Hanhydrogen’s solid-state hydrogen storage valve, with its 3-5 times longer range than existing lithium batteries, can also be extended to the field of hydrogen-powered sightseeing vehicles, and it is expected that new growth points can be created in tourism and leisure industries. In the future, with the updates and iterations of the third-generation products, this energy revolution of “controlling the big with the small” will accelerate its penetration into a wider range of mobile scenarios.

HGPF4-02 Solid-state Hydrogen Storage Valve


It is mainly used to ensure the safe use of gas in the cylinder and meet the functional requirements of inflation, deflation, activation, etc. Compared to traditional 35MPa high-pressure valves, which are prone to accidents such as hydrogen embrittlement and leakage, the solid-state hydrogen storage valves adopt innovative technologies of 0.2-4MPa low-pressure operation, multi-stage sealing, and intelligent pressure relief, truly achieving “zero explosion”!

· High integration: it is integrated with the functional modules of check valve, pressure relief valve, TPRD/PRD, etc.

· Compact size: compared with the first generation, its quality and volume have been reduced by 33%, making it widely applicable

· Convenient operation: with an external single interface, it is easy to operate for  quick plugging and unplugging

· High sealing performance: the sealing points have been reduced from 11 to 9, greatly improving leakage safety
